Cultivate Preschool Policies & Procedures
MONTHLY TUITION
Due on the 1st and must be paid by the 5th of each month. A late fee of $15 per week will be applied starting on the 6th until paid. Please let me know if there is a problem, and I will do my best to work with you.
PICK-UP/DROP-OFF
Please be prompt for both pick-up and drop-off. We have many students and multiple classes, and we also need time to sanitize and prepare for the next class.
For drop-off, we will open the door to allow students in approximately 1–5 minutes before class begins. Please park on the same side of the school. If that’s not possible, please walk across the street to escort your child.
For pick-up, we will have students wait on the porch until we see you. They will not be allowed to leave until we do. Please feel free to park around the corner of my home along the fence line.
WHAT TO BRING
Please bring a closable water bottle each day. Water only, please—or send it empty and we can fill it here.
Students should also bring a backpack large enough to hold standard paper.
SNACKS
Each student is asked to sign up to bring a snack at least twice a year. Snacks can be simple. Suggestions include crackers, pretzels, Goldfish, graham crackers, Fruit Loops or other cereals, fruit snacks, sandwich crackers, etc. Please save overly sugary snacks for birthdays.
STUDENT BIRTHDAYS
You are welcome (but not required) to bring a treat to share with the class for your child’s birthday. Please let us know the date if their birthday does not fall on a preschool day. Summer birthdays may be celebrated in the spring if desired.
Please keep treats store-bought, and feel free to send them with your child at the beginning of class.
SICKNESS/ILLNESS
Please keep students home until they are symptom-free and fever-free for 24 hours. Students may attend if they feel well and only have a clear runny nose or a mild lingering cough that does not interfere with activities.
CONTACT INFORMATION
Please ensure we have your best phone number for preschool hours, your preferred email for monthly newsletters, and an emergency contact person in case we are unable to reach you.
POTTY CLOTHES/PROCEDURES
Please place an extra set of underwear and pants in a gallon-sized Ziploc bag in your child’s backpack, just in case. Make sure your child can easily manage their clothing for bathroom use. We will assist as needed unless instructed otherwise.
FLOOR/MOVEMENT
Please be mindful of clothing choices so your child can sit comfortably on the floor and move freely.
SHOW AND TELL
We will have weekly show and tell based on the letter we are learning. It will be held on Thursdays. Please remind students to keep their item in their backpack until a teacher asks them to take it out. Also, please keep all other toys at home.
Please feel free to text, call, or email me anytime with questions or concerns!
Thank you,
Miss Ruth
